Our Story

Vera Navratilova Jeanne is at the helm of Oliver’s Nannies Westchester, overseeing all facets of the mission. Her journey into the childcare industry began when, as a parent, she and her husband faced the challenge of securing high-quality, dependable, and affordable care for their children. This quest led them down various paths, from reaching out to local nanny organizations to scouring babysitting websites, and even contacting placement agencies. Hours were invested in meticulously screening potential candidates. It was in this pursuit that Vera recognized the need for a contemporary and a more efficient solution.

Originally hailing from Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic), Vera’s upbringing instilled a strong work ethic in her. Vera’s entrepreneurial journey has taken her through the management of international exhibits and trade shows, the corporate world, and a decade of prospecting, sourcing, and overseeing investment properties in the real estate sector—all while remaining actively engaged in her local community. Vera serves on multiple boards across the New York Metropolitan area and dedicates her Saturdays to teaching the Czech language to children at the Czech and Slovak Language Center of Bohemian Citizen’s Benevolent Society in Queens, NYC.

Vera strongly advocates for a holistic approach to personal growth and excellence. To Vera, this means that the pursuit of knowledge and intellectual development should go hand in hand with physical fitness and health, forming a well-rounded and harmonious approach to living a fulfilling life. This philosophy aligns with her passion for childhood development, as she understands that nurturing both the mind and body is essential for one’s life.

As a businesswoman, former childcare provider, and parent, Vera takes pride in offering reliable nanny and babysitter services to families much like her own.
